More Chuck Berry in San Bernardino

He's had some sort of guitar revival.  (He can hear himself!)  Here he is reciting poetry and playing up a storm.

Do yourself a favor and start this one about two minutes in. (But at least it's short.) (I won't say WHAT's short.)

I wonder why the guitar has so much tape everywhere :-(

I don't think he holds it with quite the reverence that some of his fans do! But hey! It's a rock and roll guitar! (My favorite comparison is the nine string put together by Big Joe Williams.)

It was much less tape on it two days earlier at Blueberry Hill.

I think it might be an attempt to reduce feedback, by somewhat covering up the soundholes.

I was at this show. He must have had Promised Land stuck in his head because he played it 3 times, once was because he ment to the other times because he couldnt remember the words to the next song he was gona perform. However the crowd didnt mind because Chuck and his band were cooking, and they sounded great.

Hey anonymous-- send me a review (not anonymous!) and I'll post it. (Probably!) I'm sure everyone would love to hear about the show. goheadon(at)ocketmail.com. Thanks!

PS-- I'd love to hear Promised Land. Doesn't get played enough. But the third time might be one too many.
