A show of Alabama folk art celebrating folk music features a sculpture of Chuck Berry by artist
Richard Dial. The show is called The Music Lives On: Folk Song Traditions told by Alabama Artists and is currently at the Kentuck Art Center in Northport, Alabama. Read about it and see the rest of the art (including a piece by Dial's father celebrating Chess label mate Howlin' Wolf)
HERE.
Richard Dial is a machinist (born the year Maybellene came out) who went on to start a business designing and building wrought iron furniture, then began turning the furniture into art.
