Here's a beautiful new "print" from the great BBC special from 1972. It's a great version of "Mean Old World" to compare with that other great version from around the same time that you can find on "The London Sessions."

This entire show was wonderful. I think because it was a small audience, and British, he put on a "refined" show-- very different from the live stuff on London Sessions just a few months (earlier? Later? I forget.) My favorite moments are the quiet ones-- bits of blues before the band kicks in, or the quiet moments of "Carol" when the band stops. A GREAT show. Another side of a great man.
