Willie Dixon, of course, played bass on most of Chuck Berry's early work. He also wrote dozens of songs that are now standards of the blues industry-- "Hootchie Cootchi Man," "Spoonful," and on and on. (If Chuck Berry had an equal in song writing it might have been Dixon.) His influence is heard in Berry's songs as well-- "Jo Jo Gun," and "No Money Down," to name a few. Anyway, here's a nice but short bit of
